Post-Construction Cleaning
Dust, debris and residue cleared after a renovation or build so the space is ready to use.
Dust settles on every ledge, and film stays on the glass
When a renovation or build wraps up in a Seattle apartment building, an HOA clubhouse or a commercial suite, the work crew leaves when the work is done, not when the space is clean. Drywall and sanding dust settles on window sills, door tops, light fixtures and the tops of cabinets. Protective film and stickers stay on glass and fixtures. Debris collects in corners, along baseboards and in the tracks of sliding doors.
None of that shows up on a punch list, but residents and tenants notice it the first day. A unit that is structurally finished and still gritty underfoot does not read as finished. Mercury has cleaned shared spaces and units for HOAs, apartment buildings and commercial properties in Seattle since 2001, and post-construction work is one of the jobs where an experienced crew saves a property manager from a second round of complaints.

Debris out first, dust from the top down, floors last
The order of the work matters more than the effort. Loose debris and packaging come out first, so nothing gets walked across the parts that are already clean. Dust comes next, worked from the highest surfaces down: fixtures and ledges, then door frames, sills and shelves, then walls where they need it. Whatever falls lands on a floor that has not been cleaned yet.
Glass and fixtures get the attention they need. Film and stickers come off, frames and tracks get wiped, and the glass is finished so the daylight comes through clean. Floors go last because every earlier step drops something onto them. Vacuuming and mopping at the end means the floor is the last thing touched before the crew leaves, and nobody has to re-clean behind them.
Every property is different. It might be one renovated unit, a lobby remodel or a whole floor of tenant improvements, so the scope is set for the job in front of us instead of pulled from a fixed package. Call (206) 374-7777 and describe what was built.
Handed back ready for the first resident or tenant
The point of the job is the handover. When the cleaning is done, the space should be ready for whoever walks in next: a new resident carrying boxes, a tenant setting up desks, a board member touring a finished project with the community manager.
Mercury is privately owned and operated, and the company also handles the regular cleaning, porter work and turnover cleaning that Seattle properties need once the contractors are gone. That helps when a manager is juggling a contractor's finish date against a move-in date. One of the property managers who reviewed Mercury on Google says the crew is "very responsive to last minute requests," which is exactly what a tight handover calls for.
Post-construction cleaning is quoted per project on request, so there is no fixed rate to look up. Phone the office, tell us the property and the scope, and we will talk through how the job should run.
