Walkways, entries and dumpster pads go dark first

In Seattle, hard surfaces fade from the ground up. The concrete by the front door picks up a grey film in the damp months. The walkway between buildings turns slick where the shade never lets it dry. The dumpster pad collects what leaks out of the bins. None of it happens overnight, which is exactly why a resident walking past it every day stops seeing it, and a visitor sees nothing else.

Garage ramps and parking entries wear the same way, with tire marks and drip stains laid over the weathered concrete. A property can be cleaned inside to a high standard and still look tired from the sidewalk, because the first thing anyone meets is the ground.

Mercury pressure washes these surfaces for HOAs, apartment buildings and commercial properties across Seattle. It sits next to the interior work on the same route, so the outside of the building gets the same attention as the lobby.

Each site is looked at before a price is given

Two buildings with the same square footage can need very different work. A walkway under tree cover is not the same job as a sunny parking apron, and a stained dumpster pad is not the same job as a lobby entry slab. So the first step is a look at the property, not a number from a chart.

That is why Mercury asks you to call for pressure washing quotes. In the company's own words: please contact us directly for an accurate quote. Call (206) 374-7777 or write to info@mercuryclean.com, tell the office which surfaces you have in mind, and the quote is built around your property.

Nothing on this page is a price, and that is on purpose. An honest figure for a walkway needs someone to see the walkway.

A cleaner surface is a safer one, and it looks kept up

Slick concrete is a safety issue before it is an appearance issue. Algae and grime on a shaded walkway make a surface harder to walk on, and a board that hears about a slip learns the lesson late. Washing the surface back to bare concrete is plain, practical maintenance.

The other half is curb appeal. Residents, owners and visitors read a building from the outside in, and clean walkways and entries tell them the place is looked after. Pressure washing belongs to the same habit as the rest of the round: a crew that is already on site sees the stained entry slab or the dark patch by the bins, and can tell the property manager.

If your community or building has surfaces that have gone dark, call (206) 374-7777. Mercury will talk through what you are seeing and quote the work property by property.
